My husband’s grandfather was born in Italy. He chose to live in America; so at 17 years old he arrived, found work, married later in life, and started/raised a family of three boys.
He arrived in the USA as an Italian, married as an Italian, became a father as an Italian. He naturalized and became a US citizen after the boys were born, thus all are Italian, as are their children.
So, a journey began; my husband wanted his citizenship recognized. I began to research and read. We created a family tree with names and dates piecing together a puzzle. I began to order and gather documents; some were hard to find, others, quite easy. It took approximately 8 months to gather documents, have them translated, have some amended, and all apostilled. I was hooked. I proceeded to gather a sister’s documents, two cousins' documents, and some dearest friends' documents.
I have always loved helping people. I have become intrigued and somewhat passionate about Italian ancestry, stories of Italian-Americans and helping Italians in America become recognized with citizenship.
Vitally Italian was formed so I can continue to help people, in which I will gladly gather your family’s documents necessary for Italian Citizenship recognition.
It is time to help you. Let’s find that first corner piece and build your puzzle.
